Branding Session vs Headshots

One of the most frequently asked questions I get from business owners is 'what is the difference between a branding session and headshots?'

Let's discuss which one is right for you...

Branding Sessions are a great way for bloggers, influencers, and small business owners to get a variety of content to use over a long period of time throughout their social and marketing platforms. It allows a person to show their personality through different looks, settings, and activities. Not only does a person get standard headshots to use, but we work to create content that is natural, interactive, and speaks to the audience and/or client you are aiming to attract.

Headshots are one of those things I believe every professional should have and update regularly. They allow potential clients to get a visual idea and connection to who they will be interacting with and hiring. Headshot sessions are very straight forward. Clients come with two looks to shoot - formal business and business casual. Both looks should be simple yet on brand. The shots taken during a headshot session are not as versatile as the ones a person would receive form a branding sessions, but they are great for the business owner that is simply looking to update their website, LinkedIn, business card, or profile pictures on social media platforms.

But which one is right for you? Here are a few questions to ask yourself in order to decide...

Do you have a business where platforms like Instagram are vital for attracting your target audience/client? If so, a branding session is just what you need. You'll walk away from your session with a variety of high quality and interactive content to use over time.

Though you will always be the foundation of you business, is something else the face of it? If that's the case, a headshot session is probably the right fit for you. If you're not the main selling point of your business, a simple headshot session is a great way to add personal connection without taking attention away from the brand and/or product.

Let's talk budget...

Maybe you resonate with the branding option best, but your budget is fit for a headshot session. In that case, you can go one of two routes. You can hold off on booking until the branding session you desire is within your budget, or you move forward with booking a headshot session, and we will create a game plan to best utilize that 30 minutes to create media worthy/versatile content that best represents you and your brand. I'm here for YOU, so never hesitate to speak up and ask as many questions on how we can best work within your needs and boundaries.
